Jawaharlal Nehru born in Alahabath in 1889 November 14th son of Motilal Nehru. Educated in England at Harrow and Cambridge. He was admitted to the English bar in 1912 and practiced Law in Indian for several years. Nehru was elected by the congress party to assume office as Independent Indian's first general election in 1952. Nehru was given the singular honour of raising of the flag of Independence India in New Delhi on 15th Aug 1947.
His daughter Indira Gandhi and grandson Rajiv Gandhi also served as Prime Minister of India.
